The Sea Witch Home Page is not a yacht brokerage site. We post "Sea Witches" as well as other Angelman/WILBOs for Sale as a free service of this web site. The only requirement is that they be Angelman designs or WILBO builds. If it is an Angelman design, it doesn't matter where or by whom the boat was built.
MINIMUM INFORMATION REQUIRED
Name and Email address of owner (phone contact optional)
Name, location, and design (or designer/s, if not a Sea Witch)
Date and place built

LOA (or LOD), Beam, Draft, Displacement (May be omitted on Sea Witches)
Engine type and H.P.
Photo or photos (4 photo maximum)
Asking Price
Though this service is nominally free, as of May 1,
2009, we no longer post them
without any potential for some sort of remuneration for our efforts. Listings
that preceded that date are not effected.
We ask a voluntary "finder's fee" of 0.5% (one half of one percent),
of the final sale price if our posting was "significantly
instrumental" in the sale of the boat. Significantly instrumental
means first contact from the buyer came to the owner/seller via email or phone as the
result of its posting on our site, regardless of other
agents, brokers, or other parties, ultimately involved in the sale.
It works very simply and all in the seller's favor. There is no written contract beyond the
owner/seller's exchange of emails agreeing to these terms. Since the owner/seller will
likely be the only one who knows whether our posting was significantly
instrumental in bringing about the sale, as well as the price received, the seller is bound only
by his or her honor or inclinations.
When the boat sells, just let us know so we can take the posting down. We'll take your word as to whether we were, or were not, significantly instrumental in the successful sale of the boat – no questions asked. If you say we were, we'll let you know who to make the check to and where to send it. It's as simple as that.
Needless to say, this isn't very businesslike, and we don't expect to make our fortune. In fact we will be pleasantly surprised to receive anything at all. But there is always the chance that some honest soul will sell his or her boat though this site and send us a check in appreciation. It will help defray the long-term costs of maintaining this web site.
There's no specific time limit on how long we will keep the posting
up, though we naturally don't want to continue it after it is sold.
The "Sea Witch Home Page" site is not a high traffic site, and we make
no claims to that effect. But you have nothing to loose by posting your boat
there. Sea Witch searchers certainly do find it!
