The mission of the Golden Rule Project is to repair, restore, and renovate the famous sailing ketch, the Golden Rule, to once again carry on the struggle against nuclear weapons and all warfare.

In 1958 this little sailboat with four brave crewmen, led by Albert Bigelow, attempted to stop atmospheric nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands. They were boarded by the US Coast Guard, arrested, and towed back to Honolulu twice, and jailed.

More than just the restoration of a famous sailing vessel, Veterans for Peace members, and other friends of the Golden Rule, plan to sail this craft again, renewing Bigelow’s and the Veterans For Peace mission—to abolish war and promote peaceful diplomacy.

With a contribution of $100.00 or more, you will be recognized as a Golden Rule "Plank Owner" and will receive an attractive certificate attesting to your generous level of support.

Im in support of the Golden Rule Project and want to help Veterans For Peace Chapter 22 (a 501[c][3] nonprofit organization)  restore this famous sailing ketch. Please make your checks payable to: "Veterans For Peace Golden Rule Project."
